Lost or found

Six AUT students are pushing the boundaries of visual arts this week as the "Lost or Found?" exhibition kicks off on Friday. The six Bachelor of Visual Arts students are hoping to cause a splash with their work, to be displayed this Friday and Saturday at the St Paul Street Gallery 3 on Symonds Street. The work includes sculpture, photography, painting and print-making with all six students contributing to their individual disciplines.  Sculptor Lyn Guinibert explains the meaning behind the "Lost or Found?" theme as giving ‘new life to everyday banality'. "It's about making the unseen seen, the unnoticed noticed."

These six students are the cream of the crop of AUTs visual arts school, and after over a month of hard work, their individual displays are exhibition quality and rearing to go.

An exhibition with such differing material at such a high standard is hard to come by, so if you find yourself wanting something to do, it's a must.

There is a preview night on Thursday from 5pm through until 7, so if you feel like being first in line to see the new material then it's for you, if you're lucky you might even score an autograph.
