See It!
Wall-E
It's by Pixar. How much more
motivation do you need?
Watch It!
The Sarah Silverman Project/It's
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The two most socially irresponsible
shows on TV screen Mondays on C4 and are both pretty darn funny. So
far this season Sarah has dressed in black face, made fun of
anti-abortionists ("At least I'm not a bore, son"), and licked
her dog's ass. After Sarah is the even better show, called Sunny
for short (by me). This Philly crew are the most selfish, unlikeable,
and conniving troupe on TV. They are also hilarious. Two shows to
make your Monday more meaningful.
While we're on Sarah Silverman, in
case you haven't seen it yet, go to YouTube and watch her ‘Fucking
Matt Damon' video which recently won an Emmy. Then see Jimmy
Kimmel's even better response.
Celebrate It!
World Vegetarian Day, Oct 1
For those of you who are omnivores,
take a break from meat for one day of the year to see how easy it is
to go vege. There are so many easy alternatives to meat, especially
in metropolitan areas such as Auckland and the North Shore. Plus it's
better for your health and wallet. If you're feeling really
adventurous, try and see if you can go the whole week. Wednesday is
also $4 Hare Krishna lunch day in the quad, making it as super tasty
as it is easy.

Slate Magazine
A great totally online publication with
really interesting articles about a huge range of stuff. At the
moment there is a huge amount of US presidential election content,
but there are also in depth looks into the world events major news
outlets fail to catch. And it's not all politics as they also have
very insightful Arts & Life, Business, and Travel sections.
Play It!
Wednesday is Poker Night at Vesbar, so
head on down and play for fun. It's really fun and slightly
addictive, but there's no chance of losing your home.
Ignore It!
David Blaine is doing something stupid
again, this time hanging upside down in New York. If we ignore him
maybe he will go away.
