Running start for new clinic
New
Zealand's only clinic devoted to running injuries has opened at AUT
University. The
Running Mechanics Clinic at AUT's North Shore Campus offers
services incorporating computer and video technology, and the
measurement of anatomical and clinical factors, to help enhance
athletic performance as well as prevent and rehabilitate

AuSM Elections Online
This
year we will be running our elections online which means you can vote
from your PC. We are using the online election service BigPulse.com.
BigPulse has run many student elections in Australia and the USA. You
will be assigned a voting account with sign-in name and password. On
25 August 2008
you
will receive an email to your AUT student email address. This
email will provide you with an auto sign-in link to the online

Lost or found
Six AUT students are pushing the
boundaries of visual arts this week as the "Lost or Found?"
exhibition kicks off on Friday.The six Bachelor of Visual Arts
students are hoping to cause a splash with their work, to be
displayed this Friday and Saturday at the St Paul Street Gallery 3 on
Symonds Street. The work includes sculpture,
photography, painting and print-making with all six students
contributing to their individual disciplines.

The A-Z of the Olympics
Ancient Olympics The original Olympics began in 776 BC
and ran until 393 AD. It was competed between city-sates of Ancient
Greece and the prizes for victory were olive wreaths. Only men
competed and did so naked as the Games were meant to be a display of
peak human physical condition. The first event was a 400m race, then
more were added, such as boxing, wrestling, chariot racing, and a
primitive version of the pentathlon.

24, not bad for a guy that developed the program while at Harvard. I
