10 Ways to relieve that exam stress.

1/ Shower in the twilight zone. 2/ Grab a couple of candles and light them around the room. Or if you don't have any, shower in the dark. It's actually quite relaxing. And when you've memorised the feel of the bottles you can challenge your flatmates to a game of ‘guess that bottle' and score some extra cash.  3/ Quiet. 4/ Find somewhere quiet (easier said than done for some). Living in a small town myself, it can get pretty quiet at times. Whether it's just walking around the block or sitting in a park somewhere. The lack of sound can be a good change from your hectic school and social life.

5/ See your local...Chiropractor.
(This one's not for everyone.) If your spine is in great shape then your whole body is in great shape. It can
improve your quality of sleep and focus, it will allow you to not react so uncontrollably to high stress situations and your general health improves. For more information, visit your local Chiropractor and ask them what it's all about, they'll be happy to answer any of your questions.

6/ Cat love.
Give the cat some love. Patting a cat can be oh so relaxing (for both of you). Just make sure little fluffy is in the patting mood. Getting your arm eaten off is not part of the relaxing process.

7/ Time for you.
Find time for you every day, even if it's only 30 minutes. This time is for you; whether it's gardening, staring at a wall (or a book, whatever you prefer) or chilling out on your game station. But be strong enough to get back to work when your time is up, otherwise it doesn't work and you'll end up missing that afternoon exam and having realised that you throw a spaz fit and weird out any passersby...ahem, or something along those lines.

8/ Everything in moderation.
Including school work. I'm not telling you to do less study, I'm just saying to space it out. Do some everyday and you won't feel like you have spent the last 24 hours staring at a book because you will have done other things in between, like making muffins and feeding them to the cat. (Now he'll let you pat him.)

9/ Feeling unmotivated?
Study in a group. Who said a little competition was bad? Studying in a group is a great way to stay motivated. If a group of you go out and study, you'll be less inclined to be the first one to leave (hopefully) and when you've done you can swap research notes. You'll get more information in the same amount of time. Everyone wins.

10/ Channel that stress.
Everyone's heard of stress balls. Go somewhere, like a gym, a park or even an empty parking lot and throw/hit/kick a ball around, it'll help channel that stress as well as give you a workout. It's a win/win situation.

11/ Work towards a goal.
Bribe yourself. Have something to work towards. From just a chocolate bar to a new sub for your ride. Give yourself the incentive to work. Beats the pants off procrastination.

12/ (One for the believers.)
Natural stress relief remedies. "Bach's Rescue pastilles' and other such homeopathic remedies can be a life
saver (if you suffer from stress headaches and other such stress related ailments, like me). You can get them at any pharmacy for a reasonable price.
