All you need to know about Student Executive

What is this AuSM Executive Council thing?
F
ondly known as the Student Exec or just the Exec, this is a group of students who have been elected as either an office holder, faculty rep, president or vice-president.
You don’t have to be an A+ student, ex-head boy/girl, or plan to be Prime Minister one day in order to be on the exec, you just have to be interested in the going ons around uni and keen to get in there and be active.

So what does the exec do?
The council’s role is to help make sure the Association is running to its full capacity. Basically the exec is like a board of directors (minus the suits and ties) who help decide where the Association should be heading.
The exec sit on various boards and committees to ensure that the students’ viewpoints are always heard by the big guys and they help keep the university in check to ensure AUT is providing the very best for students at all times.
Individually, exec members also help put together some sort of activity in their particular areas.
