AuSM Bus and Train information
AuSM sells discounted bus and train tickets for all full-time AUT students and provides a range of Auckland bus and train timetables. You can also buy AUT shuttle bus tickets and find shuttle timetables at either of the AuSM offices. You must have student ID to be
eligible for student discounts. Part-time students are able to purchase
Stagecoach bus tickets at the adult fare rate.
Discounted tickets are
available for these services: Stagecoach, Birkenhead Transport, Howick
and Eastern Bus Company, Ritchies and Connex trains.

Purchasing Tickets
Rides are loaded onto a card which students can purchase
from either of the AuSM offices. Howick and Eastern, Ritchies and
Stagecoach fares can all be loaded on to the card. Birkenhead Transport
tickets are available.
Buses
A number of bus companies service the greater Auckland area; Stagecoach, Howick and Eastern, Urban Express, Birkenhead Transport, and Ritchies. Before you start, make sure you know which company services your area or you could end up very lost.
City Circuit
The free City Circuit buses move passengers clockwise in a loop around key destinations such as The Edge entertainment area, AUT, the Viaduct Basin, Britomart and Queen Street every 10 minutes from 8am to 6pm every day, including weekends. You can catch the free bus from the bus stop on Wellesley Street.
The Link
The Link bus route travels both clockwise and anti-clockwise at the same time in a loop around the wider central city area. Stops include QEII Square, Railway Station, Britomart, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road, Ponsonby, AUT and Queen St. The Link arrives approximately every ten minutes from 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm on Saturdays, and every 15 minutes in the evenings (until 11.30pm) and at other times on the weekends. Nite Rider
Buses leave from the Civic/St James/Queen St corner from 1am to 3am every Saturday and Sunday morning, travelling to most parts of Auckland. The fares are $4.50 when travelling one zone and $6.50 when travelling all zones. Monthly and Ten Ride Passes are not valid, but the Auckland Discovery Pass is. Trains
Trains run on three main lines through the Auckland region to the Britomart Transport Centre at the bottom of Queen St. For train timetables see www.maxx.co.nz

SHUTTLE BUS
The University operates a shuttle bus between the North Shore and City Campuses with stops at WH building, Mayoral Drive, City Campus and AS building, North Shore Campus by the main cafeteria. All buses will travel via Akoranga Drive to North Shore Campus, then to the Poenamo car park before returning to the city. The Poenamo car park is located approximately 700m from North Shore Campus on Sunnybrae Road.
Buses go every 15min 6.45am - 9.10pm Monday - Thursday, and 6.45am - 7.00pm Friday.
Times vary during semester holidays. You can buy shuttle bus tickets from Bennetts book shops and any AuSM office.
