The AuSM Liaison Team can help if you......

  • Need a place to go to with a legal problem
  • Have a complaint
  • Are accused of cheating
  • Want to appeal a result
  • Are being disciplined by the University

  • Feel that you are being harassed
  • Are starving

We mainly work out of the Wellesley office, but can see you at the Akoranga campus by appointment or if you drop in to our Akoranga office between 12 and 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time.

Advocacy and problem solving

The AuSM Liaison Team have skills in advocacy and representation. We offer accurate, informed and confidential information and advice to students. We can help to resolve any issues or problems that you may encounter during your time at AUT or refer you on to AUT support services if appropriate.

Complaints

We can assist (anonymously on your behalf if required) in resolving a complaint or concern about the provision of an AUT service, paper or course or about an AUT facility.

Disciplinary hearings or preliminary meetings

We are able to advise you about how these processes are dealt with and possible options for you. We can go to a meeting or hearing with you to support you. If you get a letter from AUT saying you are in trouble, please contact us for help.

Appealing your grade

We can give you guidance and assistance if you feel you meet one of the grounds to appeal your final grade.

Foodbank

If you are going hungry then you can access the AuSM Foodbank. Set up for students suffering severe financial hardship, the Foodbank can provide you with essential items to get you by for a few days.
