Free support, advice, information and problem solving for all AUT students

The AuSM Advocacy Service is FREE for all AUT students. We are independent of AUT and can offer confidential support, advice and representation. Drop in and see us anytime or contact us and we will come to you.

We can help ….

  • If you are having issues with AUT
  • Need some legal information
  • Want to know your rights with police, landlords, employers, AUT, lecturers, doctors or anyone else
  • Are experiencing problems with StudyLink
  • Feel harassed on campus, off-campus, online or anywhere else
  • Woud like a food parcel to get through the week
  • Need some advice or someone to talk to
  • If you need someone to attend a displinary meeting with you
  • Refer you to lawyers who provide a discount for AUT students

Nick Buckby

Nick Buckby has a background in law and has been with AuSM for eight years. There isn’t much Nick doesn’t know so contact him on 921 9999 ext 8379

beckylittle

Becky Little has a background in law and has experience working at student unions…she’s also a sometimes movie star. Contact her direct on 921 9999 ext 8311.

If you ever need us

The AuSM Advocacy Team are based in the AuSM office on Wellesley Campus (WC Building, above Vesbar) and you can drop in anytime. Office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

We will visit you on Manukau and North Shore campuses if you need us, just make an appointment or give us a call to arrange.
